I like telling myself (and anyone else who will listen without an eye roll):

“You do you!”

It might seem trite.  But for me, it’s become a simple way to remind myself to be authentic.

Sometimes authenticity seems daunting and lofty.

So, I like (and need) a straightforward, practical reminder of how I can implement authenticity in my life.

Let’s be real…

Authenticity is hard.

It means being vulnerable enough to be comfortable in your own skin.

It means being brave enough to forget what you think you’re supposed to be and do, and simply live what you know you were made to be and do.

It means reminding yourself daily (sometimes hourly) that…

The best thing you can do for yourself and the world around you is to learn to be your most authentic self.

Like most things, it’s a practice, a process and a journey, but it’s worth it!

You Do You!
